Wayne Chism

Tough news on the injury front. Wayne Chism took a nasty fall on his back in the last game, and he is going to be out at least the next five games, if not more. A tough loss, as Wayne was rounding into shape and really starting to contribute.

In the meantime, we will look for another big to help round out our roster. I know I get comments of adding another big guy a la Chris Hunter, but let me assure you, players of Hunter's caliber are not falling off trees. We will continue to monitor players, but I don't want to make a move for moves sake. I want to bring in the right player that I believe fits with our coaching staff and team.

If we make any moves, I will be sure you all are the first to know.

  1. Sad to hear. We'll maybe know Corey Allmond can get more then 45seconds of playing time cause that dont make no sense.

  2. Agreed. 45 seconds is way too much time for Corey Allmond to be playing.

  3. I still say that if they come back with three more losses from this road trip, a change of some sort needs to be made.

It might be hard to believe that they went from one of the best team to one of the worst...but that is the reality.

They do a favorable schedule in March with tons of games against teams below them (which gets to be less and less by the game), but a three game losing streak on the road to add to the 7 already lost could just about seal this season.

"Wait and see" should become "DO SOMETHING NOW!" if they come home 0-3.

  4. when u cut corey playing time they started going on that losing streak. Before that he was bringing a spark of the bench and they was on a winning streak and the team was playing alot of team ball. I think u can spread the floor with corey and kramer on the wings...

  5. If I didn't know any better, I'd say Corey Allmond is commenting under "Anonymous". Either him or his mom, lol.

How about some creativity on offense? I'm not asking for much here...I'm hoping your coaches see these comments because quite frankly...they suck about as much as Corey Allmond's defense...IS A BUCKET OFF A FLASH/CUT THROUGH THE KEY TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR FROM THIS TEAM JUST ONCE THIS SEASON? Maybe a bucket off a back cut?

Or we can see more predictable pick and roles or aimless dribbling and iso's where the other 4 on the court do the usual...Just friggin stand there like statues. At least Phillips positions himself for a board when another hapless Ant posession ends with a forced shot due to a dwinding shot clock.

  6. Jim The Hater James this is not corey nor is this his Mom u bama. Next thing in order to see what a player can and cannot do u have to give them a chance and go from there know i do agree there are somethings he needs to work on but its his first year and they do have a good damn team there, they just have to gel together and play some dag on basketball...Im Just a Fan of the Dleague thats it and thats all Sir...

  7. The Ants won last night. FINALLY.

They just may have to beat the bad teams, hang in their against the 7-8 teams above them and try to steal that 8th spot. Then maybe make a run in the playoffs. The goal this year is spot #8. Anything more is profit...anything less is a failed season. As happy as I am that they won last night, the truth is probably more that the team they played last night was just plain awful in the second half and the Ants made them pay for it. The Ants have lost some games like that this year as well.

    Get another one tonight Ants!

  8. Ants back in the crapper tonight led once again by some poor shooting from Rod Wilmont.

Everyone's sweet heart Cory Almond had a good game, but it wasn't enough as the Ants continue to struggle. At best they finish the season 12-9. Will that be enough to get in?

This team can't hang with Erie, Iowa, and many of the other good teams, the REAL good teams, in this league. They have to win those games against the teams below them.

I still think changes need to be made. Even for the sake of shaking things up. The name of the game is making shots and many guys on the Ants simply can't do it consistently at all.

This is NOT a good team. That is fantasy land.

  9. It was an alright game, after watching every mad ants game this season so far, i truly believe that its time for a knew young coach that has excitement and energy because the other teams in the dleague i watch they run they have fun and energy and so do there coach. The mad ants coach just sit there or stand there looking all crazy thats why the players play ball like that with no energy or excitememnt and another thing get rid of one them guards and get a big man cause there getting hammered on the boards i know the coach see this. That just my opinion, im not investing no money in this organization until they make some changes this dont make no sense how they give up leads like that every game night in and night out same old thing. THE COACH NEEDS TO GO, TIME UP. THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICES BUT GOODBYE BUDDY.....

  10. Agreed. Too much talent, too little direction. Something has to give.

I also see the search for a big man went well. SMDH.
Replaced a big man with a 6'6" shooting guard. I just don't get it.
