Two More Allocation Candidates
The Detroit Pistons cut Vernon Hamilton and Ike Diogu today, and now we would have potentially have their rights if they decided to sign D-League rights. With Vernon, we had him already for a short time two years ago, and with our depth at the point guard spot, we would not bring him back. However, if Diogu signed a D-League contract, it would be very hard to say no to him. Right now, we only have Anthony Kent as a big, and we are trying to find as many as we can. I am not hopeful that Diogu would sign in the D-League, though. I think he will either sign with another NBA team or get a big money deal in China. We will just have to see how this plays out (an ode to Mr. Tony listeners).
