More Weekend Updates

More from Europe as more Mad Ants results come in:

  • Rob Kurz continues to be a bright spot for an otherwise disappointing CB Granada team. Their record is 0-4 right now, despite a roster that includes Joe Ingles (a very good Euro player), Coby Karl, and Yaroslav Korolev. Rob is clearly the man on this team, and he put forth a great effort last night with 20 points (7-11 from the field; 3-3 from three) to go with 11 rebounds. Let's hope they start to get some wins and everyone there can raise their game to where Rob is. Right now, Rob is 5th in the league in scoring with 16.3 ppg and leads the league in rebounding at 9.8 per game. Keep it going, Rob!
  • Earl Calloway played last night also for Cajasol, and they lost to Unicaja. Earl was in the starting lineup for the first time this season and he scored 4 points to go along with 4 assists and 4 turnovers -- clearly not a great game for Earl. Maybe the problem is that they have too many warring Big 10 players on the same team: Earl Calloway (Indiana), Paul Davis (Michigan State), and Louis Bullock (Michigan) must be having a hard time playing together.
